International Visegrad Fund

The International Visegrad Fund was established on 9 June 2000 in Štiřín, Czech Republic; its seat is, however, in Bratislava. This Fund supports development of closer cooperation and relations among the V4 countries.

The purpose of the Fund is also to facilitate cooperation and promote development of the Eastern Partnership and Balkan countries. The Fund provides financial support to activities in culture, science and research, education, tourism, youth exchange and cross-border cooperation. In addition, the Fund also grants scholarships for students and artists. The support is generated from equal contributions of the V4 member countries. The annual budget of the Fund amounts to approximately EUR 8 million.
The International Visegrad Fund offers four types of grant programmes for projects, grants for  the countries of West Balkan (Visegrad+    ) and the Eastern Partnership  (V4EaP    ), also the Visegrad Scholarship Programme and residential programmes for young artists (VARP) or scientists (Taiwan).
